چکیده

Resistance to lodging, an important problem in rice production, has three types: low plant height, strong culm, and high strength of the lower part plant. The determinants remains unclear, compared with height culm strength. This study identified a new genetic factor involved part, as assessed by pushing resistance, using chromosomal segment substitution lines (CSSLs) clarify functional analysis CSSL introgression line (IL) harboring quantitative trait locus (QTL). QTL for increasing resistance on chromosome 4, PRL4, which was not related days heading. PRL4 showed increased physical basal but decreased filled grain ratio weight. IL developed backcrossing this CSSL, improved strain until breaking under compression, did decrease yield traits. These accumulation non-structural carbohydrate (NSC) at fully ripe stage. Thus, control NSC culms may improve enhancing toughness ductility.

Molecular Mapping of QTLs Associated with Lodging Resistance in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) is an alternative crop establishment method with less water and labor requirement through mechanization. It provides better opportunities for a second crop during the cropping season and therefore, a feasible alternative system to transplanted lowland rice. However, lodging is one of the major constraints in attaining high yield in DSR. Identification of QTLs for lo...

Mapping of Novel QTL Regulating Grain Shattering Using Doubled Haploid Population in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

The critical evolutionary step during domestication of major cereals was elimination of seed shattering because the easy-to-shatter trait in wild relatives results in a severe reduction in yield. In this study, we analyzed the QTLs associated with shattering employing a high-density genetic map in doubled haploid (DH) population of rice (Oryza sativa L.). A genetic linkage map was generated wit...
